deadgnats:

“The Act of Seeing with One’s Own Eyes is a film by Stan Brakhage documenting autopsies performed in the Pittsburgh’s morgue. Filmed in 1971, The Act of Seeing with One’s Own Eyes has that old and creepy feel you would expect from a movie produced in that time period.

The Act of Seeing with One’s Own Eyes is the literal translation of the greek word “autopsia” form which word Autopsy derives. There is no audio, no narrative or subtitles. It’s just a raw and uncensored look at autopsies performed on dead bodies.”

I will always love this film.

awesome
